These flower shots were taken on the Saturday of the Early May bank holiday weekend. A bright start to the trip, soon led to a quick return to the car to shelter from a heavy rain show, which soon turned to hail.
Fortunately after the rains, the conditions brightened up, although there was a distinct chill following the hail.
The Bluebells are out in full force, and the wild garlic ( Ransoms ) are just starting to show, along with some Early Purple Orchids.
Here are 4 photographs from the trip, firstly two shots of orchids taken on my manfrotto befree tripod. All images were taken with the Canon 100mm F2.8 USM Macro lens.
Further round, I took some hand held shots of the wild garlic. I took hand held as the light was good, and it was easier for me to get the angles on these shots without trampling over the flowers.
