Flies, Bugs and Birds

At the start of the insect season it always good to spot things, and early on flies, bugs and ladybirds are nice subjects to find.  These shots are all on the Canon MPE-65mm, mostly with the Dove Deodorant Diffuser setup – although the first fly was taken with my Plate Diffuser.  Generally the magnification setting was between the 1:1 and 1:2 mark.  These were all taken at Garston Wood and High Wood, nr Bradbury Rings

Now the bug, a Common Green Shield bug – yep and that is its common id name! – Palomena parisna is the latin.
