Paint on a Speaker

It’s been a while since I tried dancing paint images, but I have recently been giving it another go.

I am still using the same speaker that I cannibalised from an old PC speaker.  I have changed my trigger to a Stop Shot from the old Hi-Viz one ( it broke! ).  I used three 580ex flashes at 1/64th Power.  A Canon 5D MkIV set at 1/160 sec, ISO640.

I played some bass music to the speaker from my mobile phone ( connected via it’s headphone socket).

Then, just added some mixed up kids paint ( mixed with some water to make it a bit more fluid).  Then just hit play, let the camera and flashes trigger and repeat…

Here’s some initial results.

With this next image – which somehow got a blurry look on one side ( I suspect a flash not syncing ??), I had a play with Topaz Studio and got 3 additional abstract images from it.
