Well yes there was.  Not only a Mite from this corney title…taken at 5x Magnification on the MPE-65mm.

Then there was a Springtail on a twig.

All images from this set were taken on Canon 650D with Canon MPE-65mm lens.  ISO 200.  Flash from Canon MT-24ex twin flash.  Diffusion by a small piece of vellum paper over the lamps, as the diffusion setup I took on this occassion (plate diffuser) was too large to get low on the ground.
