Backgarden Bee

Last weekend I found this Solitary Bee in the backgarden.  I found it first on the path by the garage.  It was fairly docile and cleaning itself.

I then moved it off the path and put it in the flower bead nearby.  It came to rest on a pink flower – where I managed to get several extreme macro images of it resting up and cleaning in the flower.  The only time it moved fast was when an ant approached it!

I’ve recently been experimenting with Topaz Lab – Sharpen AI plugin in photoshop.  I find the Focus on it adds some nice details to the images.  Here’s a before and after.

Finally another couple of images – one around 2x magnification and the other closer to 1x
