It was a day of fly macros on an end of April visit to Blashford Lakes. I failed to find or take anything else of interest on the visit.
However flies are far from boring when seen up close…
From the sawflies.
To the Caddis Fly…
To a Cranefly
To a Dance Fly.
To a more common housefly. The last one being my favourite shot of the lot. It is at 5x magnification on my Canon MPE-65mm 1-5x macro lens.
All taken on Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon MPE-65mm Macro Lens, Flashlit from Canon MT-24ex Twin Flash.
More shots soon!
