Ant Fun

After spotting a lone red ant on a leaf, which was fairly co-operative and still I was able to get a couple of shots of it at reasonably high magnification.

First at around 2x magnification on my Canon MPE-65mm lens.

And the at about 3x.

I then had a play in photoshop with the last image, using some a dispersion filter to create a computer generated pool of an inversion of the image.  I added some colour tints to make it look more other worldy using Topaz Restyle and Topaz Texture Effects.

The resulting image is this.
