The Red Dragonfly – by Gordon Zammit

These three photographs of a beautiful red dragonfly taken by Gordon Zammit on a hot Malta day, had to be taken at F16 in order to get a low enough shutter speed (1/250 sec) to use the fill in flash.  Like his other dragonfly images these are also taken on the Canon 100-400mm Mk II – Canon 7D mark II combination.  The lens was set to the 200mm mark on these images.

I think you will agree these are superb shots of a wonderful dragonfly.

I've been taking macro photography from 2004. I use both Canon film and digital cameras.
