A play with CombineZP

A windy and wet evening saw me have a go at stacking a Small Elephant Hawk Moth.  I used CombineZP for the stacking process.  The stacking took a while to process but please with the end results.  Also taking the shots saw the batteries on the flash drain after a 100 or so.

These are also the first macro shots I’ve posted using my new 650D Canon body.  All shots were taken using a Canon MPE-65mm lens.  The moth is a captive bred deceased subject mounted on a pin.  I had the camera set on a tripod with the Velbon SuperMag slider and ran that forward a notch at a time.  On the wider (127) shots I failed to take quite enough to get the bottom of the wings – so a bit of photoshop bodging is visible there if you look close enough.

Here’s the results…

I've been taking macro photography from 2004. I use both Canon film and digital cameras.
