New Forest Fungi

On an unseasonally hot first weekend in October, which apparently was the hottest week in the year and day (Saturday), took a couple of trips to the New Forest.

The two locations visited in the two days were Fritham and Bolderwood.  The fungi seems to of been early this year – much seems past its best, and I doubt the hot weather is helping.  However there were still some nice ones about. Shooting fungi I shoot some with my 17-40 mm lens – so they’re more close up shots than macro really, all of them in fact ( even on the 100mm are not in the true term macro as they are not shot at 1:1 or greater ).

Here’s my pick of the weekends shots.

I've been taking macro photography from 2004. I use both Canon film and digital cameras.
