Dragons and Lizards
Took a second visit to Thursley, after gaining some information on where to go from some kind people on UKDragonflies.com forum, and going round the boardwalks made a big difference. Arriving around mid-day the boardwalks were full of lizards bathing on them, which allowed me to get up close to a few of them. Here’s my best lizard shots from the visit, including an animation.

My main target in going to Thursley though, was to see some Dragon and Damselflies, and hopefully get some shots of them. This visit was much better on this front than the last time, with lots of black & common darters around the boardwalks, I also saw some male keeled skimmers, several damselflies. The best shots of these follow, with my personal favourites being the immature male black darter shots due to the pose and colours around the heather.
