Hod Hill

Following Saturdays visit to Stoborough Heath, a further bug quest was taken on a walk around Hod Hill, Stourpaine in Dorset

Again not much about in terms of bugs, but did come across a colourful fly, a white coloured violet flower (which I await identification on) and an odd looking caterpillar on some nettles.  Oh and the path along the River Stour was really muddy!

Here’s the best of the days shots…all on 50D Canon Camera.

Canon EOS 50D (65mm, f/9, 1/250 sec, ISO100)

Fly (maybe wasp ?) taken on doc leaf, using MPE-65mm about 1.5x.  Hand held with flash.

I've been taking macro photography from 2004. I use both Canon film and digital cameras.
